Straightforward for most post-2000 PSL homes. We tap into the existing return line, run a new 60-amp dedicated circuit from your main panel, and pour a concrete pad. The whole job typically runs one day. Older panels occasionally need a breaker upgrade, which we assess on the initial visit.
How cold does pool water actually get in Port St. Lucie during winter?
Unheated pools in PSL commonly settle into the low-to-mid 70s°F by December and can dip into the upper 60s°F during January cold fronts. Most families find 82°F–84°F comfortable. A heat pump reaches those targets on our mild ambient temperatures without running continuously.
Will a heat pump also cool the pool during a hot PSL summer?
Dual-mode heat/cool units can pull pool temperature down by 8–12°F during August when water hits 90°F on a still afternoon. Not every model offers reverse-cycle cooling — we specify which ones do during the estimate.
